ISLAMABAD - ZTBL beat NBP by 26 runs in the Pool B match of Inter Region/Departments U-19 tournament 2012-2013 round five match at Marghazar ground on Tuesday.

Put into bat first, ZTBL were bowled out for 183 in 43.4 overs, Shafqat Ullah made 31 while Luqman Butt (28) and Zafar Gohar (23) were the other notable contributors. scorers,  Zia-ul-Haq was the pick of NBP bowlers with 3 for 24 while Tabrez grabbed 3 for 60 and Asghar claimed 2 for 19.

Needing 184 runs for victory, NBP team succumbed to pressure and were bowled out for 157 in 42.5 overs. Danyial Mansoor made 43 while Danish Aziz cracked 38. Shafqat Ullah ripped through NBP batting line up to bag figures of 4 for 25 while Zafar Gohar and Irfan Ullah chipped in with 2 wickets each conceding 25 and 32 runs respectively.

PIA snatch thriller: In another match at National ground, PIA clinched a cliff-hanger against Port Qasim by 2 wickets. Batting first Port Qasim were bowled out for just 98 runs in 31.4 overs.

Wajhat Khan made unbeaten 30. Salman Saeed took 4 for 18 and M. Siddique got 4 for 27. In reply, PIA achieved the target in 35.2 overs after losing 8 wickets in the process. Waqas played a match winning unbeaten knock of 30 and M. Salman picked 4/41 bowled well from Port Qasim.

At Bhutto cricket ground State Bank edged out KRL by 4 runs. State Bank made 151 all out in 39.4 overs. Ghazanfar Abbas made unbeaten 55. Usman Khan took 3 for 26 from KRL, Zaheer Abbas got 2 for 29.

Chasing 152 runs for victory, KRL could score 147 for the loss of 9 wickets in allotted 45 overs despite a fine knock of unbeaten 64 from Sheraz Shafi. Mudassar Iqbal took 3 for 28 while Faraz and Bilal Mansoor got 2 wickets each.

At Abbottabad Cricket Stadium, Islamabad won by 5 wickets, Put in to bat first, Abbottabad were bundled out for 121 runs in 34.3 overs, Zubair made 31, Naeem Shahzad took 5 for 35 and Azeem Bari got 2 for 23. Islamabad achieved the target in 37 overs after losing 5 wickets, Adnan and Farhan both scored unbeaten 31 runs each, Bilal Ahmed took two wickets for  18 runs.
