LAHORE - The Library of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore (UVAS) arranged a concluding ceremony of book fair 2014 in the City Campus Lahore here on Thursday.
The Librarian Muhammad Aslam and Chairman of pathology department Prof Dr Asim Aslam co-chaired the concluding session of the book fair. Speaking on the occasion the Librarian Muhammad Aslam lauded the effort of library and other officials in which they gave assistance to make this successful book fair.
At the end of the concluding session Prof Dr Asim Aslam gave away certificates among all the organiser and other officials as well.
Workshop : A two-day training workshop titled ‘Advanced Diagnostics in Parasitology organised by Department of Parasitology of the University of Veterinary and Animals Sciences (UVAS) Lahore, began here on Thursday.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha chaired the inaugural session of the workshop, Dean Faculty of Veterinary Sciences Prof Dr Muhammad Sarwar Khan, Dr Khalid Saeed and a large number of UVAS faculty members and participants come from all over the Pakistan present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion Vice-Chancellor said that such training programmes were necessary for knowledge sharing, advancement and skills development.
He said workshop is to provide the professionals with state-of-the-art knowledge and essential practical training to all the participants.
He also said we have a numbers of well equipped diagnostics labs in which we have all modern facilities where participants can learn skills that how to collect sample and how to handle it for further procedure.
Earlier Dr Khalid Saeed described about the conventional diagnostic techniques for parasites. Dean Prof Dr Muhammad Sarwar Khan also spoke and described objectives of the workshop.

Transferred: The Punjab government on Thursday suspended Multan Local Government director Azfar Zia. The notification to this effect has been issued.
