LAHORE - A female car-rider thrashed a traffic warden during a brief altercation at a crossing in Garden Town on Thursday.

The woman driver, Ayesha Bibi, is said to be a professor at a local college. She was on her way home along with her brother, a lawyer, when traffic warden Muhammad Ayyub stopped their vehicle near Barkat Market.  

The warden asked the woman to produce her driving licence and registration book of the vehicle. The lady exchanged harsh words with the warden and then thrashed him on the road, where many people were witnessing the episode. In the meantime, more policemen reached the spot to rescue the traffic policeman. Though the lady and her brother were taken to the Garden Town police station but they were released later. No case was registered in this regard.
