NAB to challenge govt decision in Langu case

ISLAMABAD - National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (retired) Javed Iqbal Monday directed to challenge the Balochistan government's decision declaring house of its former adviser on Finance Mir Khalid Langu a sub-jail.

“The NAB Balochistan has prepared a legal application to challenge the administrative orders of the provincial government,” said a press release issued here.

The NAB had stated in the application that the former adviser to Balochistan government on finance Mir Khalid Langu was allegedly involved in a mega corruption scam and the provincial government was giving him unnecessary facilities by declaring his house a sub-jail.

The decision is a hindrance in the way of free and transparent accountability, it further added, saying that those facilities should be withdrawn immediately.
