Two human traffickers nabbed

SADIQABAD-Police claimed on Monday to have arrested two human traffickers who had allegedly abducted three disabled persons from Bhong police precincts and were smuggling them into Iran for begging.
According to Gaddu Police SHO Ghulam Asghar Tanyu, the accused - Mukhtiyar Ahmed and Shan Muhammad - were arrested on a check-post at Sindh-Punjab border during snap checking of vehicles. They were smuggling three disabled persons identified as Zaheer, Zubair and Zahoor for begging into Iran. The SHO termed arrest of the culprits who had been involved in human trafficking since long a big success. Police registered a case against the accused and launched investigation.
It is to be noted that people from remote areas of South Punjab and Sindh are often trafficked into Iran where they are forced into begging.a
