During the hearing of a case pertaining to return of Ishaq Dar to Pakistan on Wednesday, the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) said, “We don’t know what type of justice Dar wants.”
The CJP gave these remarks while presiding over a three-member bench of the Supreme Court (SC). Justice Ijazul Ahsan remarked, “Long distant justice cannot be administered.”
Additional attorney general Nayyar Rizvi informed the court that the United Kingdom (UK) home department has sent some questions regarding return of Dar to the country that have been sent to NAB. The government would soon submit reply to UK High Commission.
The court, while ordering NAB to file implementation report in the court besides replying to questions to UK Home Department, adjourned the hearing for one month.
It is vital to mention here that Dar was the Finance minister in the tenure of PML-N. NAB had filed a reference against Dar in an accountability court in Islamabad.
He went to London for medical treatment after some time of Panama case judgment and didn’t come back. The court while seeking the progress report in the case adjourned the hearing for one month.
