National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal has said that the anti-graft watchdog hasn’t impacted the economy adversely, but the corrupt elements were taking a toll on the economy.
NAB Lahore Director General Shahzad Saleem briefed the meeting, presided by the chairman, about mega corruption cases.
The NAB chairman said that the position and recommendation ends outside the gate of office. Justice Iqbal said that the agreements had been signed with foreign companies in the past, instead of awarding tenders to Pakistani companies. This needs to change, he concluded.
