Lahore - All six Pakistan Super League (PSL) teams were asked to retain up to 10 players from their previous roster. The category restrictions for retentions are the same as they were for a 16-member squad i.e. a maximum of three platinum, three diamond, three gold, five silver and two emerging could be retained.

The teams will go into the player draft on November 20 in Islamabad to complete the rest of their squads from a pool of over 600 players.

Islamabad United have retained 10 players which include Shadab Khan (Platinum), Luke Ronchi (Platinum), Faheem Ashraf (Platinum), Mohammad Sami (Diamond), Asif Ali (Diamond), Rumman Raees (Gold), Hussain Talat (Silver, Ambassador), Sahibzada Farhan (Silver), Zafar Gohar (Silver), Waqas Maqsood (Silver).

They have released Andre Russell, Misbah-ul-Haq, Samuel Badree, Iftikhar Ahmed, Amad Butt, JP Duminy, Sam Billings, Alex Hales, David Willey, Mohammad Hasan, Mohammad Hasnain, Samit Patel, Rohail Nazir. While they made no trading and relegated Rumman Raees (from Diamond to Gold).

Karachi Kings have retained eight players which include Mohammad Amir (Platinum), Babar Azam (Platinum), Colin Munro (Platinum), Usman Khan (Diamond), Colin Ingram (Diamond, Ambassador), Imad Wasim (Diamond), Mohammad Rizwan (Gold), Ravi Bopara (Gold) while they have released Shahid Afridi , Usama Mir, Khurram Manzoor, Mitchell Johnson, Luke Wright, David Wiese, Tabish Khan, Mohammad Irfan Jnr, Hasan Mohsin, Eoin Morgan, Saifullah Bangash. They have traded none.

Lahore Qalandars have retained eight players including Fakhar Zaman (Platinum), Yasir Shah (Diamond), Anton Devcich (Gold), Rahat Ali (Gold), Shaheen Afridi (Silver, Ambassador), Hasan Khan (Silver), Agha Salman (Silver), Sohail Akhtar (Silver) while they have released Brendon McCullum, Cameron Delport, Aamer Yamin, Bilawal Bhatti, Ghulam Mudassar. Angelo Mathews, Mitchell McClenaghan, Gulraiz Sadaf.

As far as Qalandars’ trading is concerned, they have traded Umar Akmal and Sunil Narine (to Quetta Gladiators) to get spinner Hassan Khan and fast bowler Rahat Ali. Also, they will have their platinum pick in the first round. Lahore and Quetta also swapped their second round of silver category.

Quetta Gladiators have retained nine players which include Sarfraz Ahmed (Platinum), Sunil Narine (Platinum), Shane Watson (Diamond, Mentor), Sohail Tanvir (Diamond), Mohammad Nawaz (Diamond), Rilee Rossouw (Gold, Ambassador), Umar Akmal (Gold), Anwar Ali (Silver), Saud Shakil (Silver) while they have released Mahmudullah, Umar Amin, Mir Hamza, Asad Shafiq, Brathwaite, Rameez Raja jnr, Saad Ali, Rashid Khan, Azam Khan, Kevin Pietersen, Chris Green, Kohler Cadmore, Ben Laughlin, Jason Roy, John Hastings, Carlos Brathwaite, Faraz Ahmad Khan.

They have also traded Bought Umar Akmal and Sunil Narine from Lahore Qalandars in exchange of Hassan Khan and Rahat Ali. Quetta also gave up their Platinum pick in the first round to Qalandars. The second round of silver category has also been swapped between both franchises. They relegated Anwar Ali (from Gold to Silver).

Peshawar Zalmi have retained eight players including Wahab Riaz (Platinum), Hasan Ali (Platinum), Darren Sammy (Diamond), Kamran Akmal (Diamond, Ambassador), Liam Dawson (Gold), Umaid Asif (Silver), Khalid Usman (Silver), Sameen Gul (Emerging). They have released Shakib Al Hasan, M Hafeez, Haris Sohail, Chris Jordan, Mohammad Asghar, Dwayne Bravo, Tamim Iqbal, Hammad Azam, Saad Nasim, Taimoor Sultan, Ibtisam Sheikh, Andre Fletcher, Evin Lewis, M Arif. They have relegation Kamran Akmal (from Platinum to Diamond, but made Ambassador in compensation).

The sixth team (previously Multan Sultans) have retained eight players including Shoaib Malik (Platinum), Junaid Khan (Diamond), Mohammad Irfan (Diamond, Ambassador), Shan Masood (Gold), Mohammad Abbas (Silver), Mohammad Irfan Khan (Silver), Umar Siddiq (Silver), Mohammad Junaid (Emerging).

They have released Kieron Pollard, Kumar Sangakkara, Sohaib Maqsood, Kashif Bhatti, Mohammad Abbas, Nicholas Pooran, Abdullah Shafiq, Saif Badar, Hardus Viljoen, Umar Gul, Ross Whiteley while they have traded Sold Sohail Tanvir to Quetta Gladiators for Diamond-round pick, bought Mohammad Junaid from Quetta Gladiator in exchange for second pick in emerging category.
