RBS supports relief and rehabilitation for flood-affected

KARACHI- The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) recently along with its employees donated over twelve million rupees towards the flood relief and rehabilitation efforts in Pakistan to The Citizens Foundation & Edhi Foundation. The funds were collected through the 'Flood Relief Support Drive that was launched across RBS in Asia, inviting all employees to generously donate for supporting the flood-stricken Pakistanis. RBS supported the fund raising efforts by matching the employee donations, hence doubling the funds available for distribution. Flood waters have destroyed roads, homes, schools, and health facilities, leaving massive number of people in Pakistan displaced without access to clean drinking water, food, shelter, and sanitation facilities. RBS recognises that the bank can play an important role in improving the standard of living in global communities and our 'Flood Relief Support Drive for Pakistan is part of our corporate social responsibility efforts and demonstrates our commitment to Asia and its sustainability. We hope that our funds will help the organisations accelerate their work on providing the flood-affected families food, water, and medical help, said Muhammad Aurangzeb, GBM Head for South East Asia and Chairman of the Board for RBS Pakistan.
