Shahbaz lauds Turkish support for flood affectees

ISLAMABAD (Agencies) Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif called on Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan in Islamabad on Wednesday. The CM thanked the Turkish Prime Minister for the aid extended by the Turkish government and its people for the flood affectees after recent floods. He said Turkey gave a proof of its love with Pakistan, the way it did after 2005 earthquake. He also thanked the Turkish Prime Minister on behalf of PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif for the magnificent role played by Turkey in rehabilitation of the affectees. Shahbaz also apprised the Turkish Prime Minister of the efforts made by the Punjab government for the flood affectees. Lauding these efforts, Tayyip Urdagan said the Turkish government would continue to play its role for rehabilitation of flood affectees. He said Turkey has made a plan for provision of pre-fabricated houses to South Punjab affectees. He said Mayor of Istanbul would soon visit Lahore. During the visit, final shape would be given to different development and welfare programmes in Punjab with the collaboration of Turkey. The Turkish PM also extended invitation to CM Punjab to visit Turkey.
