LAHORE - At least three persons including two women were crushed to death by speedy vehicles in different areas of the City on Wednesday. According to details, a 34-year-old woman was killed by a speedy truck in Nishter Colony police station area. The deceased was identified as Khursheed Bibi, resident of Kot Lakhpat. The police said that the victim was crossing the Ferozepur Road when a truck (SLX-5832) ran over her as a result of which she sustained sever injuries. However, the truck driver managed to escape from the scene. The people of the area rushed the injured woman to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to injuries. Later, police handed over the body to her family after completing legal formalities while no case was registered by the police in this regard. Meanwhile, another woman Sarwar Bibi, mother of four, was crushed by a speedy car near General Hospital on Wednesday. She breathed her last despite the doctors tried their best to save her life. Later, the police concerned handed over the body to her heirs after necessary medico-legal formalities. In another incident, a 40-year-old man was killed by when a car hit him on Ferozepur Road. Police said that the deceased, yet to be identified, sustained severe injuries after a car hit him. Police shifted the dead body to the morgue and started searching for deceaseds family. Two found dead Two persons were found dead from different areas of the city on Wednesday. A dead body of 40-year-old man was found from Qila Gujjar Singh Police Station area while the other body of 55-year-old man was found from Shahdara Police Station area. Police after being informed reached the spot and moved the bodies of the deceaseds to the morgue and started searching for their relatives. According to police, both persons died after taking excessive dose of drugs.
