ISLAMABAD US delegation under the leadership of National Coordinator for Economic Assistance & Development Richard Albright on Thursday called on President PML-Q (Likeminded) chief who is also chairman of Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs Senator Salim Saifullah Khan and discussed important bilateral and regional issues. Senator Salim Saifullah Khan said that strong Pak US relation were important for regional security and peace. He said that Pakistan was playing front line state in war against terror due to which more than 35000 Pakistani lost their lives and if it economy suffered 68 billion dollars. He said that Pakistan sacrifices in war against terror were more than that of NATO countries. He said that US and NATO countries should not make Pakistan responsible for their failure in Afghanistan. Rather they should investigate the causes of their failure in Afghanistan. He urged upon the international community to acknowledge Pakistan sacrifice in war against terror and provide help to Pakistan economy. He also urged upon the government for the construction of Kurram Tangi Dam which would generate 83-MW electricity to resolve energy problems of Southern District Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and also help in there agriculture sector.
