KARACHI - Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has said that the exploitative forces did not want an end to the ages-old feudal system and status quo from the country. Talking to the office-bearers and workers of the MQM Lahore zone, he said these forces did not want the middle-class people to come forward as the breaking of the status quo would mean the accountability of those who had looted national wealth. He said that efforts had been made to finish the Muttahida Qaumi Movement ever since its formation. The allegation of Jinnahpur was brought against the MQM in order to create disaffection in the minds of patriotic people. Stories of torture cells were run on the television and thousands of workers of the MQM including his brother and nephew were put to death. Altaf said that a conspiracy was plotted against the MQM when it tried to spread its message throughout the country despite all the repressions. Today when the message of the MQM was gaining wide acceptance in the Punjab and other parts of the country, allegations of terrorism and treason were once again brought against the MQM. He said that he was ridiculed when he unleashed international conspiracy of breaking Pakistan into pieces. Those who mocked at me finally accepted that the United States wanted to harm Pakistan when hidden threats were made against Pakistan by the US. He directed Shaheen Anwer Gillani, in-charge of Lahore Zone, to organise camps for blood donations in Lahore. He also asked the MQM workers to donate blood for the patients of dengue fever.
