Faulty transformer

We, the residents of Muhalla Salabat, Middle School Mera Swabi, Union Council Kalinjar, District Haripur, want to attract the attention of the Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Federal Minister for Water and Power and the high-ups of Wapda to the most burning issue for us. Our electricity transformer has gone out of order since September 19. We had filed a complaint with the local sub division Haripur, Khalabat, but despite passage of 10 days no action has been taken. The officials concerned had taken the transformer to Haripur but they did not bring it back, nor did they take any step to restore the power supply in the area. We request to the PM, the minister and Wapda authorities to pay heed to the issue, as the people of the area are faced with several problems due to the suspension of electricity supply. It is to be noted that Wapda had been causing problems for the area dwellers since long, as there remain low voltage frequently and whenever any problem occurs the authority show laxity to remove them. Dengue virus has wreaked havoc in the country and in this situation the faulty transformer in our area is a matter of concern. Who should be held responsible if in the absence of electricity, Dengue causes any casualty? We appeal to the Prime Minister and the Federal Minister for Water and Power to do the needful. Syed Ali Asghar Shah, Haripur, October 10.
