LAHORE Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Syed Munawar Hasan has said that time had vindicated the JI stance regarding the US war on terror and proved that the interests of the US and Pakistan were contradictory and both could not go together. Addressing the opening session of the Central Shoora at Mansoora on Thursday, he said this war had done no good to the country. Instead, it had undermined Pakistans sovereignty and solidarity besides seriously damaging its economy. Own people had been pushed to the wall, the US was making direct attacks and drones were killing innocents. Military operations had been going on which had negative results. He said the US wanted to cut China in size and build India as mini super power of the region. Syed Munawar Hasan condemned the government decision to grant India the status of Most Favoured Nation (MFN), saying even dictators in the past could not go that far. This decision of the political government was tantamount to sabotaging the freedom struggle of the Kashmiris, he said, adding the JI stance on the terror war had also been endorsed at the recent APC in the federal capital. He said the current US threats to Pakistan were expected. He said, the Parliaments resolutions too had not been implemented and the national supervisory committee set up to review the implementation had not yielded any results.
