HYDERABAD- Security high alert has been declared in Hyderabad Central Jail after aborted jail break bid in Karachi Central Jail.

According to jail sources, security has been stepped up in Central Jail Hyderabad since Monday midnight. Additional contingents of police, rangers and FC personnel have been deployed at various points within the jail and outside areas. Security men conducted a search operation in employee’s colony of the central jail. Security men searched houses and gathered information from the residents, sources said. US journalist Daniel Pearl’s murder convict Shaikh Omar and scores of other high profile prisoners belonging to banned militant groups have been imprisoned in Hyderabad jail.
