Islamabad: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan , 36% Pakistanis claim to be happy with their lives while 13% were unhappy.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women, from across the four provinces was asked, “Are you happy or unhappy with your life?” In response, a substantial 44% said that they are neither happy nor unhappy. 7% did not respond, according to press statement issued today.

This question was also asked previously in 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015. The general trend in public opinion has slightly changed over the course of these four years with the percentage of people happy with their lives were 40% in November 2011 and November 2012 to 43% in October 2013, however it has now decreased sharply to 36% in August 2015.
