PESAHWAR - Jamaat Islami (JI) Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq has vowed to make vigorous efforts for provision of all constitutional rights to tribesmen, saying a grand tribal jirga would soon be called in Islamabad to deliberate upon the issues being faced by the people of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas.
He also demanded compensation package for collateral damages made during military operation in FATA. “Tribesmen are patriotic citizens, loving Islam and their country,” he added. However, he regretted the rulers did nothing for development and prosperity of FATA since the creation of country. He vowed that they will provide all rights to people of FATA. Now, he made it clear, nobody can further betray tribesmen. They (tribesmen) must be given their due rights like people of other part of country, he asked.

Accompanied by JI Provincial General Secretary Shabbir Ahmad Khan, JI Ameer Tribal Areas Haroon ur Rashid, Secretary Dr Munsaf Khan Mohmand, Provincial Secretary Information Israrullah Advocate and others, JI chief said tribal people had played a pivotal role in protection of borders region without any incentives.
Sirajul Haq claimed that JI will only provide an honest, capable and experienced leadership to the country. “We have understood issues of the masses and have the capability to resolve them,” he added. He regretted that tribal people were still facing hardships in provision of clean drinking water, education, health facilities and other problems.
JI chief said that if JI gets a chance to rule the country then it would provide free education, free medical treatment and will also take steps for provision of job opportunities to youth in the country.
