The Safdarabad Police on Tuesday claimed to have killed two highwaymen in a shootout and two others managed to escape from the scene.
According to police, four highway men set up a picket on Safdarabad-Mananwala Road and were looting travellers. On a tip-off, a police team reached at the spot but the outlaws opened fire on them. The police retaliated and a shootout ensued as a result two outlaws were killed.
Later, the outlaws were identified as Malak alias Malko and Aamir while their two accomplices fled the scene. The police have shifted the dead bodies to hospital for autopsy and started further investigation.
MISSING MAN FOUND DEAD: A man, who had gone missing three days ago, was found dead near Nangal Sadhan on Tuesday. Naseer Ullah Khan, resident of Peshawar had gone missing from Rachna Town where he was residing in a rented house. The motive behind the incident could not be ascertained yet. The Muridke Saddr Police have started investigation.
