islamabad (PR) - In 2008 Goethe Institute started its PASCH and RIS is one of those schools which initiated this project from the first day of its launching in Pakistan, not only at college level but in primary and high schools also. Since then, with the collaboration of the Goethe Institute, RIS has been able to develop global citizen by implementation of the foreign language programme.

The PASCH partner schools initiative is a venture into bringing schools from all over the world at one platform, says a press release issued here yesterday. The Goethe Institute plays a key role in developing the PASCH initiative and RIS is an active member of this forum. As a PASCH partner school, students participate in the language youth camps and students forums at the regional and international levels at different destinations around the world. The PASCH partner schools also participate in various projects that are shared by schools all over the world. Roots international schools has always been in the forefront of all PASCH schools activities.

Roots German Language Club is a versatile exclusive club whose membership comprises German language students. Every year Aitchison College Lahore hosts a German festival under the umbrella of its German Society Eine Reise Durch Deutschland and invites all the PASCH Schools where German is being taught. This year the event was named as EineReiseDurch Deutschland (A journey through Germany) and was dated on the 2nd of October 2016.

All the PASCH schools across the country participated in this festival this year. A delegation of ten students from RIS Canal Campus Model Town Lahore, took part under the leadership of Shagufta Adil (campus head) and CEO Walid Mushtaq.

RIS students (Aden, Umair, Sardar Awais, Faheem,Sameer and Syed Momin) participated in Futsal. Manal Imran, Enabia Tayyab, Syed M Hussain and Umair Mubasher participated in quiz and they secured first position in the competition.

Hamna Amir and Syed Momin Ali participated in German poetry Recitation and Hamna of Gr.V and stood first in the poetry recitation competition.

Tayyaba Anwer (German language teacher), Faiqa Qayyum, event coordinator, and Marrium Rafiq (art teacher) played a pivotal role to prepare students for this mega event of German language. The judges from Goethe Centre and German language teachers of Aitchison College venerated the stall decor and confidence level of the Rootsians.
