Polling for the by-elections on 35 constituencies of the National and Provincial Assemblies has ended across the country.

370 candidates are in the run for the elections to be held on eleven National Assembly and 24 Provincial Assemblies' seats.

People are turning to the polling stations to exercise their right to vote.

Polling continued without any pause till 5 pm in the evening.

Over 7,400 polling stations have been set up for the by polls. Of these, 1727 have been categorized as highly sensitive.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan cast his vote at Mohrra Noor School in Islamabad today.

NA-53 Islamabad was amongst the five constituencies from where Imran Khan had won in the general elections.

He later vacated the seat as he kept the hometown seat of Mianwali.

President of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain also cast his vote at NA 69 Gujrat.

Speaking on the occasion, he said despite the difficult situation, the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf is moving forward.

He said the government inherited the problems from the previous regime.

Election Commission of Pakistan has directed media channels not to broadcast results of by-elections before 6 p.m.
