Rita to auction off stage outfits

LOS ANGELES-Rita Ora is thinking of selling all her old tour outfits.

The ‘I Will Never Let You Down’ hitmaker has kept all the garments she has previously worn on stage, but is running out of space at home to store them so may offer fans the chance to buy a piece of her pop history. She said: ‘’My home is a little messy. There are clothes all over the place. When I want to open the door, things fall out. It’s mostly stuff I’ve worn at shows, maybe I’ll do an exhibition or sell them.’’

The 27-year-old singer is preparing to release her new album ‘Phoenix’ and even though it has been a long journey to get it our, Rita doesn’t feel much different to when she brought out her debut record, ‘Ora’, six years ago.

Speaking to OK! magazine, she said: ‘’A debut album is always easier than every album that follows, and that’s because you are fresh on the scene, which is way easier. I’m the same person but I’m a bit older. I’ll be 28 when the album comes out.’’ Rita grew up in London but is very proud of her Kosovoan roots and is grateful she never experienced any discrimination in the UK capital which she insists is a wonderful and diverse city.

She said: ‘’In the beginning, it was like, ‘Where are you from?’ When I said Kosovo, people would say, ‘Where’s that?’ But I was lucky, my class was full of different ethnicities, religions and races. I talk about my country all the time. When I started in this game in 2012, I was the only singer from Kosovo who made it out of there.

So it’s my responsibility to talk about my country and put it on the map. I’m very proud of it.’’
