LAHORE - Twenty more matches were decided on the third day of the Sapphire National Open Tennis Championship here at the Punjab Tennis Academy, Bagh-e-Jinnah on Wednesday. 
In the men’s singles group matches, in Group A, Aqeel Khan beat Heera Ashiq 6-2, 6-4, in Group C, Muhammad Abid beat Yousaf Khalil 6-3, 6-4 and in Group D, Shoaib Khan beat Mudassar Murtaza 7-6, 6-3. In men’s doubles quarterfinals, Aqeel Khan/Shehzad Khan beat Yousaf Khalil/Heera Ashiq 7-6, 7-6, Muzamil Murtaza/Mudassar Murtaza beat Ijaz Khan/Shoaib Khan 4-6, 6-1, 11-9 and Huzaifa Abdul Rehman/Muhammad Abid beat Ahmad Babar/Imran Bhatti 6-2, 6-4. 
In boys U-18 pre-quarterfinals, Hamid Israr beat Muneeb Majed 6-1, 6-0, Nalain Abbas beat Hamza Jawad 6-2, 6-3, Sami Zaib beat Danish Asfar 6-1, 6-1, Haider Ali Rizwan (LGS Paragon) beat Kashan Tariq 6-0, 6-1, Faizan Fayaz beat Uzair Khan 6-4, 6-0, Zalan Khan beat Ahtesham Arif 6-4, 6-3, Mahatir Muhammad beat Zaeem Ghafoor 6-0, 6-1 and Bilal Asim beat Hassan Ali 6-3, 6-3. 
In girls U-18 quarterfinals, Amna Ali Qayum beat Zara Khan 6-0, 6-0, Sheeza Sajid beat Tooba Babar Khan 6-0, 6-1, Ashtafila Arif beat Noori Saad 6-3, 6-2 and Natalia Zaman beat Zahra Suleman 6-1, 6-1. In girls U-12 quarterfinals, Lalarukh beat Bismel Zia 4-0, 4-1, Zunasha Noor beat Afaf Suleman 4-1, 4-1 and Fajar Fayyaz beat Mahrukh 4-1, 4-0.
