Second phase of PPL starts today at Rawalpindi

LAHORE - The second phase of Pakistan Premier League (PPL) will start from today (Thursday) at Rawalpindi while the third phase will commence at Peshawar from Nov 9. The first match of the second phase will be played between Pakistan Airforce and KRL at Rawalpindi. Deputy Commissioner, Rawalpindi, Muhammad Ali will inaugurate the event. According to PFF Secretary M Naveed Akram, the second phase of PPL will be played from Oct 14 to Nov 6 while the third phase from Nov 9 to 27 at Peshawar. Earlier, the first phase was played at Multan from Aug 14 to Sep 11 and 39 matches were played there while a total of 132 matches of the league will be played. Total prize money is Rs 10 million.
