Cameron to replace Patterson

ISLAMABAD As the incumbent US Ambassador to Pakistan Anne W Patterson, completes her term, White House has nominated Cameron Munter as her replacement. When contacted on Monday, Spokesperson of US Embassy in Pakistan Snelsire Richard confirmed this nomination. Yes, the White House has nominated Cameron Munter as the new Ambassador to Pakistan, however, he will have to wait until the US Senate approves his nomination, Richard said. Cameron, 56, has a rich experience of working in countries in transition, including his assignments in Prague, Belgrade and Warsaw. Keeping in view his excellent performance in the countries in transition, the Obama Administration decided to use his skills in its frontline ally (Pakistan), said an Islamabad-based diplomat seeking anonymity.
