LAHORE - Visitors in the wildlife parks of City were provided foolproof security on the occasion of Eidul Fitr and the administrations of the three wildlife parks met with the sufficient revenues as well, TheNation learnt on Monday. On the demands of three wildlife parks administrations including Lahore Zoo, Lahore Wildlife Park and Jallo Park, the Headquarters of Punjab Wildlife and Parks Department provided sufficient security to the said parks to avoid any untoward incident. Director Lahore Zoo Muhammad Iqbal told this scribe more than 40 policemen had been deployed for the consecutive three days of the Eid and all the visitors including children entered in the Zoo after the through checking. He added the metal detectors and scanning machines were erected at the entry points and the security officials including the officials of the secret agencies were also present in the Zoo to detect any suspicious person. He disclosed on the first day of the Eid, about 27 thousand visitors including women, men and children visited the Lahore Zoo and 58 thousand visitors visited the Zoo on the second day of the Eid. He added hundreds of visitors also visited the Zoo on the third day of the Eid, adding about Rs 0.7 million were collected as revenue from the ticketing system on the occasion of Eid. Lahore Wildlife Parks officer was not unavailable when contacted to know the security situation of the park on the occasion of Eid, but other officials said no untoward incidents occurred at the premises of the Lahore Wildlife Park. They said extra police officials and other security officials were present to check any suspicious activity in the park. Jallo Park officer was also not unavailable when contacted to learn about the presence of the security officials in the park on the eve of Eid, but other lower staffers said security officials were present in sufficient number to save the visitors from any untoward situation. They claimed a large number of visitors visited the Jallo Park for the consecutive three days of the Eid.
