Pindi batting collapses against Attock

ISLAMABAD - Rawalpindi batting collapsed against Attock on the first day of the Regional Inter-district Senior 2013-14 match here at Pindi Cricket Stadium on Friday. After winning the toss, Rawalpindi decided to bat first. They lost five wickets with only 138 runs on the board in 49 overs. Rain forced the match to start well after the schedule time. It was the exceptional batting of Sharam Ali who made unbeaten 74 which saved the day for Pindi. He hit four boundaries and one six in his superb knock. Zahid Mansoor also played sensible innings and contributed important 34 runs while Ahsan Abbasi remained unbeaten on 14 at the close of the day. Tayyab Abbasi and Majid Khan were the bowlers of the day for Attock as they grabbed two wickets each for conceding 30 and 38 runs respectively. –Staff Reporter
