ISLAMABAD - Special Anti-Terrorism Court Islamabad Friday remanded seven accused allegedly involved in extorting money from the traders in Sabzi Mandi of the federal capital, sent into physical custody of police for five days.

The ATC judge Atiq-ur-Rehman gave them into physical custody of police after police produced the accused before the court and submitted an application seeking their physical remand. The Investigation Officer of the case submitted the application and requested that police needed their physical custody to trace their connections and other accomplices in the crime. Acceding the police application, the judge gave their five-day physical remand and directed the police to produce them after remand.

It is pertinent to mention here that earlier, a judicial magistrate had directed police to include section of Anti-Terrorism Act  against the seven accused.
