LAHORE: The Punjab chapter of Pakistan Medical Association has rejected registration of murder case against senior doctors for alleged negligence that led to death of seven newborns in Vehari, saying the government violated Healthcare Commission Act.

At a meeting held at PMA House on Saturday with Dr Ashrad Nizami in the chair, the PMA demanded withdrawal of murder case against the doctors and action against police officers.

The office bearers believed that the government and law enforcement agencies were trying to tarnish the image of medical community which was condemnable.–Staff Reporter

 They supported protests of PMA Vehari chapter, saying that the doctors were raising voice for their due rights.–Staff Reporter
