Muggy weather back in city

LAHORE - The City remained in the grip of muggy weather on Saturday, causing Lahorites to sweat profusely throughout the day.
Abundance of sunshine caused considerable increase in the mercury level with high humidity making the weather oppressive. Maximum and minimum temperature in Lahore was recorded 34 degree Celsius and 24 C respectively. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded 61 per cent.
According to the experts, seasonal low lies over Baluchistan with its trough extending northeastwards. Weak monsoon currents are penetrating into upper parts of the country. A shallow westerly wave is also prevailing over upper parts of the country.  The local meteorological department has forecast rain-thundershowers at isolated places in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar divisions, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the next couple of days. Hot and humid weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
