Pakistani athlete Haider Ali has won this year’s first Paralympics medal for Pakistan in long jump, Waqt News reported.  

The athlete won the Bronze Medal and shared the new world record of 6.44 meter jump.

Haider Ali had won the silver medal in 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing which was the first ever Paralympics medal in Pakistan’s history.

Haider, who suffers from Cerebral Palsy, took part in F-37/38 Category men’s long jump.
