Police to remain alert to ensure security during Muharram

Regional Police Officer of Rawalpindi Fayyaz Ahmad has assured that the local police will always remain alert providing security to people and to maintain law and order situation in the area during Muharram.

He said this during his visit to imambargah Punjtani, Attock, to review the security arrangements for Muharram.

On the occasion, President of imambargah Punjtani, Syed Raza Haider Naqvi,  Deputy Commissiner Imran Qureshi ,  DPO Hasan Asad Alvi , CSO Shujaat Ali Babar , AC Mehreen Faheem Abbasi , SHO Mazhar Hussain Shah and other officers were also present.

The RPO said that with the cooperation of all the religious scholars , harmony and brotherhood will be maintained and no one having nefarious designs will succeed. He said that starting and culmination  of procession and Majalis on given time is mandatory .

On the occasion DPO Attock Hasan Asad Alvi while briefing the RPO said that to maintain security during Ashura, six DSPs, 16 inspectors, 1478 upper and lower subordinates, elite force and 522 volunteers have been deputed for foolproof security.
