LAHORE - Pakistan volleyball team on Monday won its second match against Hong Kong 3-1 in Chiba, port city of Japan. Pakistan team played to its potential except in the second set, which it lost by making mistakes. However, the other three sets were won with convincing scores. The men in green won the encounter 15-25, 26-24, 11-25 and 12-25. Usman Faryad Ali as Shani again played an outstanding game. He was fully supported by Zaheer and Aimal Khan. In the last two sets, Mubashar Raza also played well with his good reception and service. Pakistan will now play today (Tuesday) against Iran. After winning both the matches, Pakistan has already qualified for quarterfinals irrespective of today’s match results, as two teams have to qualify out of each group of 4 teams. It is pertinent to mention here that out of 64 countries attached with Asian Volleyball Confederation, from Asia and Oceania continents, 16 teams had qualified for this championship, which were divided into 4 groups and Pakistan along with Iran, Thailand, and Hong Kong are part of this group.
