MULTAN (AFP) - At least five people were killed and nine others were missing and feared drowned on Tuesday when a boat capsized in stormy Indus river waters near Multan, police said. The boat carrying farm workers capsized in the Indus in the Kundian district, around 300 kilometres west of Multan, when it ran into a strong current, district police chief Akbar Nasir Khan said.Rescuers have saved five people and taken out the bodies of five others, while nine people were missing, feared drowned, Khan told AFP. There were 18 passengers and one boatman on board and they were crossing the river to harvest wheat, he said.
