Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has announced increment in the salaries of Punjab Police on immediate basis. Addressing a function in Lahore Police Lines, Shahbaz while announcing the increment in Punjab Police salaries said it is the right of Punjab Police. The increase will be implemented from April 1, 2009. Shahbaz also announced risk allowance equivalent to basic salary of one month. He said protection of citizens is the basic duty of government, police and adminstration.
