LAHORE Pakistans lone tennis star on international circuit, Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi pairing together with Daniele Bracciali of Italy eased past an All Columbian pair of Cristian Rodriguez and Oscar Rodriguez to reach the quarter final of Rai Open ATP Challenger Tennis Championship being played on the Clay Courts of Circolo Sportivo Rai Complex in Rome. The All Columbian team started the match in a much fancy way when they broke Braccialis serve in the third game to take a 2-1 lead but their lead was soon neutralized by the Pak-Italy pair in the sixth game and score levelled to 3-3. They again broke their opponents in the eight game and took a 5-3 lead. At this point Aisam comfortably served out for the set with a 6-3 score. In the second set when the score was 2-2 Aisam and Daniele struck effectively and broke their opponents serve to take a 3-2 lead on the only break point they got in the second set. On their side they were twice break point down but bailed themselves out effectively and went on to win the second set with a 6-4 score. The winners took 61 of 107 points played with losers taking home only 46. In the quarter final they will play against Diego Alvarez of Argentina and Alessio Di Mauro of Italy.
