LAHORE- Punjab Minster for Agriculture and Forests Malik Ahmed Ali Aulakh Wednesday has suspended four officials of Forests Department including District Forest Officer Bhakar on embezzlements. Earlier, the minister constituted a 3-member inquiry committee, headed by Forest Conservative Gujranwala to probe the matter. \\The committee in its initial investigative report held the officials including DFO Ilyas Bashir, Range Officer Usman, Foresters Soba Khan and Ziaul Haq responsible for misapp-ropriations. The report also revealed such officials, instead of depositing one million rupees in the national exchequer, embezzled such amount unlawfully. Meanwhile, the minister while talking to the media said that forests are important for healthy environment and decrease in forests is leading to increase in air pollution. He said the corrupt elements and black sheep in the department would not be spared in any case.
