ISLAMABAD (APP) - Minister for Water and Power Raja Pervaiz Ashraf on Wednesday said the government could not give the time frame for ending loadshedding. Talking to media here at the Parliament House, he said the government was taking various measures to reduce loadshedding and it would take a lengthy time to get electricity from Iran. He said the decision of rental power was good but some people politicised it, adding that President Asif Ali Zardari has directed to switch off 50 per cent light in the presidency and Prime Minister House to save electricity. Directives have also been issued to all government offices to use minimum electricity and adopt measures to save energy for the nation. Raja Pervaiz said the government was well aware about the difficulties of masses and all-out efforts were being made to address their problems. He said peaceful demonstration was the right of every one but unfortunately some one wanted to create panic in the society. He informed that water level in Tarbela and Mangla dams was very low due to which shortfall has been increased to over four thousands MW.
