3 killed in Balochistan incidents

QUETTA - Three people were killed while nine others wounded in incidents of violence in different parts of Balochistan on Thursday. According to police, unidentified armed men opened indiscriminate fire on Pesh Imam of a mosque in Bibi Ziarat area of Quetta on Sariab Road. As a result, Pesh Iman identified as Maulana Abdul Kabir and a student Dura Khan were killed. Two others including son of Abdul Qabir identified as Muhammad Amin and Shams-ud-Din received serious wounds in the attack. Police quoting eyewitnesses said that assailants were riding a motorbike and escaped under the cover of darkness after opening fire on the Pesh Imam. Police is investigating and motive behind the killing is yet to be known, a police officer said. The police after getting information rushed to the site and moved the dead and injured to a civil hospital. In another incident, one person was killed while six others wounded in a clash between two groups in Bolan district. Levies sources said the incident occurred near Haji Shar area when two groups attacked each other with clubs and axes resulting in severe injuries. Some seven people who were shifted to Civil Hospital Sibbi where one person identified as Mantar Khan succumbed to injuries. The Levies sources said that reason behind the incident was an old enmity. Meanwhile, a person was wounded in Dera Bugti when explosives planted along the road went off. The sources said Sher Muhammad was on his way when the blast took place and he received multiple injuries. He was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, spokesman of Baloch Republican Army (BRA) calling from unspecified location claimed that convoy of Frontier Corps was attacked in Sui near Shari Darbar through a remote controlled bomb in which two security personnel were killed and three wounded while their vehicle was also badly destroyed. However, spokesman of the FC rejected the BRAs claim and termed it baseless.
