After the dramatic resignation of Babar Awan, from his ministerial post to plead reference case of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (ZAB) in the Supreme Court of Pakistan commencing April 13, 2011, has raised many serious questions. Our elected PPP Government should take this case seriously and there is no need to dramatize or draw political mileage from the case at all. Since the judiciary is already independent in the country, any serious lack of proper pleading the case would finally prove fatal to the ZAB reference case unduly. I suggest President Asif Ali Zardari to ask Babar Awan to take his resignation back as he is not the only proper person in the country to handle such sensitive case. Instead, a panel of distinguished lawyers irrespective of the political parties affiliation must be formed to plead the case purely on merit basis. MOHAMMAD KHAN SIAL, Karachi, April 14.
