Extension in relief package demanded

ISLAMABAD - Senators from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and FATA Thursday demanded of the Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani to extend the relief package for three years for the war-affected province. The demand came in a meeting of Senators with President of Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Senator Haji Ghulam Ali. The Senators also demanded to provide interest-free loans for small traders, compensation for houses and factories demolished by security forces, rent for the owner of properties acquired by law enforcing agencies and restoring mobile phone communications in war affected areas. Senator Haji Adeel, Senator Prof. Ibrahim, Senator Maulana Saleh Shah, Senator Maulana Gul Naseeb, Senator Azam Swati, Senator Hafiz Rasheed Ahmed, Senator Maulana Abdul Rashid, Senator Muhammad Idrees Safi and Senator Talha Mehmood attended the meeting. Speaking in the meeting, Haji Ghulam Ali said that Relief Package should not have been for the selected districts but it should be for the whole province, FATA and PATA as every area has been suffered from terrorism.
