LAHORE Jamaat-e-Islami Women Wing held a demonstration outside Lahore Press Club on Thursday to protest against imposition of ban on veil in France. A large number of women participated in the protest. The participants were holding placards and banners inscribed with writings like 'My Hijab, My Right, My Choice, 'Stop this offence against Muslim women. The protestors said that they considered this decision a move against Islam. Rabia Tariq, the JI Women Wing President in her speech said, The Western World must understand that Hijab is our identity and we feel protected and comforted in wearing veil. The protesters also demanded the OIC and the UN to take notice of the violation of basic human rights in France. The western world is afraid of the rapidly spreading of Islam in France, Germany, Italy, and America and across the Europe thats why they are attacking Islamic culture.
