LAHOREA writ petitioner has been filed in the Lahore High Court to question the unabated drone attacks on the tribal areas of Pakistan from across the border. The petition has been filed by Barrister Javed Iqbal Jafree inter alia contending that drone attacks are on the sovereignty of Pakistan but the government has adopted an apologetic attitude. He said the whole nation was paying the price of what the former dictator Pervez Musharraf gave to America as concessions and licence to kill the citizens. He said no voice was being raised at the level of the government to prevent drone attacks nor any bid was being made to down the same. He prayed to the court for a decree that the drone attacks were a gross violation of the sovereignty of Pakistan and independence so they must be halted forthwith.
