LAHORE Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Liaquat Baloch said on Thursday that the parties that came to power after backing out from their decision to boycott the February 2008 elections had failed to deliver and were fast losing public support. Addressing JI workshop for party workers at Mansoora, he said that the PPP was roped into the 2008 polls because of the NRO while the PML-N was tempted by the establishment. However, he said, during the last three years, the governments had been continuing Pervez Musharrafs policies in clear disregard to the public mandate. Liaquat said the PPP leadership was trying to distract the party workers attention from the real issues by playing with their sentiments on the basis of the Bhutto case and Benazir Bhuttos murder.
