KARACHI - Pakistans rupee jumped to a record high against the US dollar Thursday, as the intraday interbank rate of the local currency reached Rs84.0/US$ - lowest level since April 28, 2010. Rupee has so far appreciated by 1.8 per cent in the current fiscal year, while it has strengthened by 2.7 per cent since its recent low on September 30, 2010 (Rs86.33/US$). The dollar-rupee exchange rate parity closed at Rs84.1 in the interbank market while it traded at Rs84.5 in kerb.
