A three-member Supreme Court bench, chaired by Justice Javed Iqbal, heard the two missing persons case. During the hearing on Friday, Deputy Inspector General of Islamabad Police Binyamin stated that the two missing persons were activists in the outlawed organization, Tehrik-e-Islamia. He further stated that Zahida, mother of one of the missing person, Adnan, is also an important activist for Tehrik-e-Islamia. Amin told the court that earlier a journalist, Shakeel Turabi, allegedly lied to the Chief justice of Pakistan when he said his son Meraan Shah was missing. Amin stated that Meraan Shah was later found to be a mujahid commander, adding that he was trying to recover missing persons, but his own brother-in-law had been abducted.
