Teenager among 3 killed

LAHORE Three people including a 12-year-old boy were murdered in seperate incidents here in different parts of the City on Thursday, police said. A 30-year-old rickshaw driver was found tortured to death over old enmity in Sanda police vicinity on early Thursday. Resident of Akram Park, Nadeem aka Deema, was lying dead in a pool of blood near his residence as the police rushed to the crime scene. Some passersby spotted the dead body with severe head injuries and informed the police. Police investigators said that unidentified killers badly tortured the father of three to death and fled away after throwing his body on the road near to his house. The deceased family told the police that Shahbaz brother of Deema had gunned down the body guard of their opponent Arshad some three years ago. On the day of the incident, unidentified men intercepted the rickshaw driver soon after his left his house and tortured him to death. The police have registered the murder case and removed the body to the morgue for autopsy. The police are investigating with no arrest made so far. In another incident, a 12-year-old boy was killed when drunken gunmen resorted to aerial firing at a wedding party in Shafiqabad police vicinity. The boy later identified as Mohammad Sajawal was standing at the rooftop of his house and watching the wedding party when he sustained a bullet. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. Police investigators said that the wedding party of one Mudassar Gujjar was taking place in Kasurpura area in the precincts of Shafiqabad police when some of the participants fired in the air to celebrate the event. As a result, the innocent boy fell victim to aerial firing and died later. The police have removed the body to the morgue for an autopsy. The police have also arrested two armed men in connection with the killings and further investigations are underway. Meanwhile, two motorcyclists gunned down a 55-year-old salesman over property dispute in Gowalmandi area and fled away from the crime scene. Police said that the deceased identified as Akhlaq Ahmed was standing outside his shop situated near Mai Lado Masjid in Gowalmandi area when two gunmen riding on a motorcycle appeared there and opened straight fire on him. The resident of Baghbanpura died on the spot while the killers fled away from the crime scene. The police reached the spot and removed the body to the morgue for autopsy. The complainant Ashfaq Ahmed told the police that his father had property dispute with his cousins Imran.
