ISLAMABAD - Both Pakistan teams fail to impress with their performance in the U-14 (Boys) Festival of Football which resumed on Saturday at Jinnah Stadium.

Pakistan seniors lost one and draw two matches while Pakistan A lost one and draw one.

In the first match of the morning Pakistan seniors despite being far superior failed to deliver and settled for a draw and to settle for a point apiece.

In the second match Afghanistan beat Pakistan 1-0 as strikers poor finishing let them down as Afghanistan managed to take lead in the 31st minute through Umaid Haider that proved match winner.

In the third match, Pakistan and Tajikistan played out an entertaining 0-0 draw. Tajikistan dominated the first half and could have scored more goals but Pakistan defenders denied their forwards from taking early lead.

Pakistan took the charge in the second half created some lovely moves and they too missed some golden opportunities, in the end both teams had to settle for a point each. In the last match Afghanistan thrashed Pakistan A 3-1. 

Afghanistan took lead in the 5th minute through Nisar Ahmed and doubled it through ace striker Umaid Hussain the half ended with Afghans leading 2-0.

Pakistan A bounced back in the second half and reduced the margin in 48th minute through Jamil  but Khalid scored the third goal in 57th minute to put Afghan on top and won the match 3-1.

Two matches will be played today. The closing ceremony will be held at 12:00pm.
