PTI vows to make Pakistan welfare state


LAHORE – PTI will convert Pakistan into a real Islamic welfare state as envisioned by Allama Dr Muhammad Iqbal if voted to power, claimed PTI chief Imran Khan, while addressing PTI women convention at Aiwan-i-Iqbal here on Saturday.
Imran Khan pledged to devise special plans to uplift the women population of the country by providing them with equal job and business opportunities, besides increasing their representation in each sector.
The PTI cheif said that Pakistan should immediately disassociate itself from the US war on terror; as 40 thousand Pakistanis had lost their lives in the American war, adding that Islamabad’s cooperation on someone else war had increased extremist activities in the country.
While expressing concern over the wave of sectarian violence, Imran Khan strongly condemned the inhumane killings of members of Shia community in Quetta and Gilgit Baltistan during the last few days.
PTI women chapters from across the Punjab participated in the convention, while the women party leaders along with supporters reached the venue from Central, Northern, Southern and Western parts of the province in groups.  The gathering, organized by the PTI Women Wing, succeeded to put up an impressive show of support from the women population of Punjab for Imran Khan.  Prominent PTI women leaders, Saloni Bukhari, Talth Naqvi, Fareeda Kamran, Shamsa Ali, Dr Seemi Bukhari, Dr Nousheen Hamid, Neelam Ashraf, Sadia Suhail, Bushra Bhatti, Asma Waziri, Shahnaz Perveen and Aneela Malik, while central president PTI women wing, Fauzia Kasuri also attended the ceremony. Moreover, on the occasion of joining of the doctors and other professionals Imran Khan claimed that Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari could not stop the tsunami of the PTI, as it reached now to the school level.
