LAHORE - Iqbal Town Police have arrested an alleged fraudulent involved in embezzlement of over Rs400 million from several govt officers and locals in the name of investment for a business in the Punjab Capital.
DSP Nasir Bajwa told the reporters that Safdar confessed committing the crime. He further said that he took money from different people including senior govt officers by promising them to give profit on monthly basis. It has been known took Rs5.5 million from Liaqat Ali, Rs1 million from Arshad, Rs2 million from Mehfooz, Rs20.2 million from Shaukat, Rs7 million from Afzal, Rs8m from Saeed, Rs4.5m from Muhammad Farooq and Rs13.5m from Irfan.
